Crane," his worried mother began, "Larry is almost a nervous wreck. For he has joined the Boy Scouts. And they are now planning a camping trip. But Larry doesn't dare go! For he is a victim of bed-wetting. "As long as he sleeps at home, we can cover up for him.

But he is even afraid to accept a playmate's invitation to visit overnight. "And I feel so sorry for him. He sincerely tries to stop but after one or two nights, he usually has an accident again. What else can we do?" M.tibi tc- 1 1 .11 the Iv k.t tl Home. Ill tilt i ing.

ItPid. men, lest they have an occasional accident. And they were complaining of simple bed-wetting, not the urinary incontinence of old men. Bed-wetting is a first cousin of stuttering. For the sphincter muscles at the exit of the bladder have learned the bad habit of relaxing when the bladder is full and the child is asleep.

The normal child's shut-off muscles (sphincters have learned the habit of remaining closed at such a time. So the question is one of re-teaching those unruly muscles so they will NOT relax while the child is asleep. Several methods will work. First, the victim must quit depending on parents or outsiders to awaken him. Instead, he must resolutely face the fact that he himself is the only one who will ever produce the cure.

As the alcoholic or smoker has learned, no outsider can break the habit for you! Then deliberately drink before bedtime to produce a crisis! But let the victim set his alarm clock for one hour after retiring. When it goes off, hop out of bed and go to the bathroom. Many enuresis victims free themselves in a night or two via this alarm clock plan. But a surefire method is to rig up an electrical shock device with some strips of copper wire and dry cell batteries so the first drops of urine will complete the circuit and sting the victim with a shock. Send for my leaflet on "Bed-Wetting." Write to Dr.

Crane in care of the Beacon Journal, enclosing; a stamped, addressed envelope and 20 cents when you send for one of his booklets. Ma 01 xi 1 nnil auav s.uiv, B'M't forn-e-'v dr l-a--Snrv iv ed Talliwiilue. ed 'if moi.d Akron. Aii'Ih-iv c. I rl of k-lor, U-v aue I M's.

And his mother is likewise a slave to desserts, for she is 20 pounds overweight. Beware about taunting the victim of enuresis (bed-wetting I for he is simply enslaved by a bad habit. If you hcve ever tried to break away from tobacco, dope, aUMhol or overeating, you can realize how hard this problem really is. At the age of four years, about 25 per cent of children are still bed-wetters, at least fitfully. Alas, many remain so not only through grammar and high school but even into adulthood.

Hundreds of men were washed out of military service because of this childhood nuisance habit. (Hennessv, 535-1518.) REMEMBRANCE is a golden link in the chain of memory which brings back the happy days when those now departed were with ns. And remembrance through publication of an "In Re membrance" serves as a proper and fitting tribute to those who have gone before. The cost of such a notice is nominal compared to the comfort and solace derived from the publication of an "In Remembrance." If you would like assistance in arranging a notice and selecting a suitable verse please call the Beacon Journal and ask for Miss Young. DIAL 253-1111 8 A. P.M.
