Gambling, 77, a pioneer of early-morning chatter-type radio, in Palm Beach, Fla. He was with WOR in New York City for many years, retiring in 1958.

His son, John now conducts the program. Masao Nagaoka, 77, former president of Nippon Kogaku, makers of Nikon cameras, in Tokyo. He was the son of a noted physicist, Hantaro Nagaoka. S. Everett Gleason, 69, former U.

S. State Department official who shared the Bancroft Prize in history in 1954, in Washington. Car Salesman Kev. Albert W. Oglesby, 67, of 2C8 E.

Lods associate pastor at a West Farmington Baptist church. Nellie Freiman 77, of 840 Cole native of Hungary. Alfred E. Yale, 67, of 922 Davis retired Ohio Edison foreman. Donald G.

Diamond, 78, of 2305 E. Waterloo retired Goodyear machinist. Andrew Koolish, 83, of 632 Philip Frank J. Stolitzka Sons Inc. retiree.

George Taylor, 69, of Dania, former Akroiute. and American Institute of Industrial Engineers. He was a graduate of Mogadore High School and the University of Akron and was a World War II veteran of the Army Medical Corps. He was employed at Goodyear and Goodyear Aerospace in the 1940s, and later worked for B. F.

Goodrich and Firestone. He was also a Prudential Life Insurance Co. salesman from 1949 to 1954. He leaves his wife, Mary Eileen; daughters Mrs. Kathy Braucher, North Canton, Mrs.

Barbara Kirby, Canton, and Kellee, at home; father, Clifford K. Lucas Bethesda, foster mother, Mrs. Harry Kurtz, Mogadore brother, Clifford K. Saratoga, foster brother, Harry Kurtz Mogadore, and foster sister, Mrs. Helen Carnahan, Akron.

Calling hours: 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Karlo funeral home, North Canton. Private services: Monday. Burial in Mogadore. CANTON C.

M. "Luke" Lucas, 52, of 5523 East Lake Cable, formerly of Ak ron and Moga-d died Thursday at Cleveland Clinic after a one-week illness. A native of Akron, Mr. Lucas was man ager of person- i nel and in- la dustrial relations for Perry Mr. Lucas Division of Affiliated Hospital Products, Massillon, where he was employed fcr 14 years.

He lived in Mogadore until 1960 and was president of the Mogadore Board of Education for two years. He was a member of Jackson Christian Church, where he was chairman of the board, and served on the Jackson Twp. Zoning Board. He was also a member of Masfllon Industrial Development Commission, Stark County Personnel Association He leaves his wife Lula; sons Robert Uniontown, and William Manchester; brothers Samuel, Bradenton, and Cecil, Akron; sister Mrs. Mabel Beach, Newton, and seven grandchildren.

Calling hours: 7-9 p.m. Saturday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Schermesser funeral home, where Masonic services will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Services: 11 a.m.

Monday. Burial: Greenlawn cemetery. II founder of Firestone Tire Rubber. Mrs. Firestone was a native of Cincinnati and lived in Akron 58 years.

She was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church. She leaves her daughter Mrs. Mary Louise Gregory, Pine, sons Richard Northfield, and John Le Grange, and 11 grandchildren. Calling hours: 7-9 tonight at Carr Fairlawn chapel.

Wake services: 8 tonight. Mass: 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial: Columbiana, cemetery, Firestone family plot. F.

Miller Rites Saturday GREENSBURG Services for retired carpenter Frederick Miller, 85, of 2039 Koons Green will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Schermesser funeral home, Akron. Mr. Miller died Wednesday at Barberton Citizens Hospital. Born in Massillon, he lived in the Akron area 55 years.

He was an Army veteran of World War I. He leaves his daughter Mrs. Doris E. Stevenson, Barber-ton; brothers Henry, Manchester, and Charles, Akron; sisters Mrs. Dora Overholt and Mrs.

Elizabeth Gintling, Akron four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Calling hours: 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today and until services Saturday. Burial: Lockwood cemetery, Portage Lakes. Edna J.

Stutz, Rites Saturday NORTON Services for Edna J. Cole Stutz, 53, of 2557 Berry former employe of Saalfield Publishing, Akron, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hopkins Canton rd. chapel. She died Wednesday at Barberton Citizens Hospital Mrs.

Stutz, a member of Grace United Church of Christ of Norton, was a native of Vulcan, VV. and lived in the Akron area 35 years. She leaves her husband Harold F. son, Frederick Barberton; sisters Mrs. Erma Lilberth and Mrs.

Ruby Sams, Akron, and Mrs. Alice Robinson, Barberton; brothers, Edmund Cole, Akron, Glen Cole, Springfield and Paul Cole, Kent, and two grandchildren. Calling hours: 5-9 p.m. today. Burial: Hillside Viola Miller Firestone, 76, of 297 Castle widow of Clinton DeWitt Firestone died Thursday at the House of Loretta Catholic Home, Canton.

Mr. Firestone was a nephew of Harvey S. Firestone Mary Kalpin, Employe BARBERTON Retired Babcock Wilcox clerical worker Mary M. Kalpin, 68, of 555 Orchard died Thursday. Born in Bay-onne, N.

Mrs. Kalpin lived in Bar-fa 40 years. She retired three years ago after 18 years. She was a ,4" Mrs. Kalpin member of St.

Augustine Catholic Church and a past president of VFW Post 1066 Women's Auxiliary. She leaves her daughter Gloria, Barberton. Calling hours: 7-9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Camp-field-Hickman funeral home. Rosary: 7 p.m.

Gipson, 54, of 3172 Oser customer relations manager for Saalfield Publishing died Thursday at Citizens Hospital after a one-year illness. He retired a year ago on disability after 22 years' service. Mr. Gipson Mr. Gipson was born in Sewanee, and lived in the Akron area 50 years.

He was past master of Coventry Lodge 6fi5 and a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Akron. He leaves his wife Arlene; daughter Mrs. Sharyn Wein-stock, Akron; parents Mr. and Mrs. Lee Gipson Akron; brothers Lee and James C.

Born in Mr. Round he lived in Akron 52 years. Mr. Round was a member of Firestone Park United Metho-dist Church, Coventry Lodge 665 and Yusef Khan Grotto. Joseph Flacli, Custodian NORTHAMPTON Joseph Flach, 67, of 3401 Board a custodian at St.

Joseph Catholic Church, Cuyahoga Falls, for 17 years, died Thursday at St. Thomas Hospital. Mr. Flach was a native of Yugoslavia and was a former resident of Akron and Cuyahoga Falls. He was a member of the church and German Family Society.

He leaves a son Joseph Akron; daughters Mrs. Ann Langenfeld, Northampton, and Mrs. Maria Terzic, Cuyahoga Falls; sister Mrs. Henry Neidert, Akron; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Calling hours: 2-9 p.m.

She leaves her husband Harvey sons Kenneth Bath, and Norman Akron; mother, Mrs. Novella Hill, Akron, and six grandchildren. Calling hours: 7-9 tonight at Eckard-Baldwin funeral home. Services: 1 p.m. Saturday.
