in Akron. Mr. Crenshaw was a World War II veteran with the U.S. Air Force. Other memberships included the First Presbyterian Church of Crystal River, Sugarmill Woods Golf and Country Club, and Seven Rivers Country Club in Crystal River.

24, 1999. A life resident of Copley, he was a graduate of Berea College in Berea, Ky. Mr. Gamauf was a farmer and a contractor, having interests in land conservation and preservation. Preceded in death by his wife, Edith, in 1954, he is survived by his daughter, Sally Gamauf of Copley Township; granddaughter, Darcy Bran-del and her father, Irv; stepgrand-daughters, Christine and Jennifer Brandel; brothers, Addie and Paul Gamauf, both of Copley Township; sister, Elizabeth Benson of Washington; many nieces and nephews.

He was bom July 27, 1919, was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy, and retired in 1981 from the Goodyear Tire Rubber Co. He will be missed by his loving wife of 59 years, Kathleen; sons, Phillip (Jill) Setree and Victory Setree; sisters, Marion Geier and Georgene Henry; 12 grandchildren, and several greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by sons, Clark and Keith.

24, 1999, in St. Petersburg, Fla. She was bom in Hawkeye, Iowa, and retired as a reservationist for United Airlines after 35 years. Swartzwelder, 84, of Cuyahoga Falls, went to be with the Lord on Feb. 24, 1999, at Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital. Bom March 13, 1914, in Hoovers-ville, a daughter of John J. and Belle (Cassady) Swartzwelder, she retired from the Goodyear Tire Rubber Co. She was a member of Cuyahoga Falls Assembly of God and the Goodyear Club.

Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Robert, James, Cletus, Louis, and John; and sister, Alzene Martin, she is survived by brothers and sisters, Ernest (Mary Pebley) and Devear (Ethel Manges), both of Stoystown, Leoma Coleman and George (Katherine DeArmitt), both of Central City, sisters-in-law, lima Swartzwelder of Kent, Arlene and Betty Swartzwelder, both of Robertsdale, and Marie Swartzwelder of Mark-leysburg, Pa. She was bom in Piney Fork, Ohio and was an Akron area resident for most of her life. She retired from the Firestone Tire Rubber Co. in 1971 with 35 years of service, and was a past member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. Preceded in death by husband, Frank, in 1991, she is survived by daughter, Marty (Max) Hansen of Wadsworth; granddaughter, Terri (Norm) Kraus of Akron; grandson, Mark Hansen of Toledo; sister, Mary Walder of Akron; and nieces and nephews.

(nee Lebit) He had been a resident the Akron Schools, he taught at Hoban High School and later became the business manager at the school.

Ron was honorably discharged from the Army in 1960 after serving two years, one of those years in Iceland. Ron graduated from Ashland College and earned his master's degree from Kent State University. He dedicated his life to the improvement of mathematics education at all grade levels. He was an active member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and the Ohio Council of Teachers of Mathematics, and was the founding president of the Greater Akron Mathematics Educators' Society. He presented many mathematics workshops throughout Ohio, helping teachers understand the need for change in the mathematics curriculum.

Ron was a Jennings Scholar recipient in 1969. Ron was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Frances; and by his father, Robert of Delevan, N.Y. He leaves his loving wife and best friend, Frances of Akron; sisters, Donna Lee (Rich) Helms of Delevan, N.Y., Nancy (Don) Campbell of Chester, N.J.; brother, Jack (Becky) of Coconut Creek, stepdaughters, Maria (Rick) Shaddeau of Oakland, and Ann Dicintio of Akron; many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. Zelman (nee Lebit), 72, was the beloved mother of Beth Zelman (Yutaka) Oishi, Henry L. (Tracy) Zelman, Susan Z. (Brian) Vogelsang, and Benjamin D. (Nancy) Zelman; devoted grandmother of Jaron, Leah, Joseph Vogelsang, Sarah and Allysa Zelman; devoted aunt to Lynn and Leslie Lebit; loving sister to the late Edward A. Lebit (Barbara); daughter of the late Lillian Lebit (nee Inbinder) and Joseph M.

Lebit; niece of the late comedian, Jack E. Leonard. Services were held Friday, Feb. 26, at 12 noon, at Berkowitz-Kumin-Book-atz, Inc. Memorial Chapel, 1985 S.

Pamela J. Powers Pamela J. Powers, 34, of Akron, passed away Wednesday, Feb. '24, 1999. She was bom May 9, 1964, and raised in Broomall, Pa.

In 1985 she graduated from Harcum Junior College and moved with her family to Canton. Pamela was currently employed as a job coach at NOVA, and had attended St. Paul's Catholic Church of North Canton. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn McClellan; and son, William, and is survived by her husband, Uoyd Hughes; sons, James (Gloria) and Richard; daughter, Sharon (Prentice) Franckowiak; grandchildren, Julea, Michelle, Lori, Heather, Kristin, and William; great-grandchildren, Ricky, Tommy, and Hana; and five stepchildren. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
