Helen (Gurnik) Kovalich Helen (Gurnik) Kovalich, 77, passed away August 3, 1990. Funeral announcements later. (Eckard-Baldwin, 535-7141) Joseph C. Lilly August 2, 1990. Mr.

Lilly was born in Bardstown, attended St. Joseph's College in Bardstown, and moved to Akron in 1919. For 43 years he was employed by the Akron Transportation and at the time of his retirement in 1963, he was VicePresident and General Manager. Mr. Lilly is survived by his wife, Catherine, to whom he was married 70 years; daughter, Mrs.

Bernard (Mary Elizabeth) Hall of Bardstown, son and daughter-in-law, Joseph C. Jr. and Georgia Lilly of Stow; son, Richard E. Lilly of Fairlawn; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Calling hours 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, at the Dunn-Quigley-Ciriello Carr Funeral Home, 811 Grant Akron.

(Dunn-Quigley-Ciriello Carr, Akron Grant 253-8121.) Joseph C. Lilly, 89 years, of Firestone Park, died Thursday evening, James F. McKinney James F. McKinney, 65, of Akron, died August 2. A native of Tennessee and area resident over 41 years, he retired from Ohio Edison in 1982, after 35 years service.

A Navy veteran World War Il, he was a member of the Kenmore Italian Civic Club. He is, survived by his wife, Louise; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Brenda, James and Linda; daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia and Thomas Stutler, and Lois and Thomas Keplinger, all of Akron; 10 grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Len (Helen) of Akron, Mrs. Joe (Louise) Shipe, and Mrs. DeWitt (Jean) Seiber, all of Oliver Springs, Tenn.

She born in Akron and lived in the area most of her life. She had worked at the Goodyear Tire Rubber and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

She is survived by husband, Arthur; sons, Melvin of Akron, Garrett of Mapleton, Utah, and Kenneth of W. Jordan, Utah; stepson, Richard JohnWellington, Ohio; 17 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; brothers, Robert and Paul Conley of Akron, Patrick of San Antonio, Texas; sisters, Evelyn Ebie of Mogadore, Peggy Miktarian of Tallmadge, Marie Cendro of Culver City, Calif. He was born in Akron, Ohio. A veteran of World War I1, he served years in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was appointed to the Akron Police Dept. in 1939, and worked all divisions of the Akron Police many as a detective.

He spent years in the chief's office as Secretary of Police, prior to his retirement in 1977. Mr. Mianowski is survived by his wife, Mitusko (Sakata); mother, Janina; stepson, Arthur Butcher of Tokyo, Japan; stepdaughter, Nancy Butcher of New York City; and nephew, Robert Mianowski of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. There will be no calling hours, as private services have already taken place.

He was retired from Ohio Brass after 45 years service, was a member of Lakeview Methodist Church, and Boy Scouting for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel V.

Poland and is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, James A. and Ruth of Virginia Beach, David E. and Mary of Doylestown; eight grandchildren; seven Zerelda two sisters, Fehrman of Byesville, Ohio and Lulu DeBruin of Akron. He had worked as an electronic technician for Ohio Bell, retiring in 1982, and had served in the U.S. Navy during World War Il and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Barberton Masonic Lodge 750, the Ohio Bell Pioneers, and the Elks in Englewood, Fla.

This action was commenced on November 11, 1988 when Plaintiff filed a lawsuit on behalf of himself and all persons who are or will be confined at the Akron Corrections Facility. The lawsuit alleged that certain conditions of confinement at the jail are unlawful and violate federal and state law. Mrs. Bubb graduated from Flora Stone Mather College of Western Reserve University in 1930. Collins was born in Protection, Kansas, and had lived in Peninsula since 1957. She was postal clerk at the Peninsula Post Office for 17 years, had serviced four years as the Peninsula Clerk and for the past two years had served, on Council. She taught science for two years in Raleigh, N.C. until her marriage in 1985, when she moved to Lebanon, Ohio. She was a member of First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, Wadsworth, where she had been an active member of youth work. Mrs. Waters leaves her, husband, John Elbert Waters Il of Lebanon; and a 16-month-old daughter, Katherine MARIE.

Watts Sr. MOGADORE Stanley R. Watts 70, passed away August 3 at Cuyahoga Falls General Medical Center. Mr. Watts was born in Purlear, N.C., and lived in the Akron area since 1946.
