Born May 26, 1913 in Van Buren, Ohio, he lived most of hislife in Copley and Akron. He was a brickmason by trade and a longtime member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen Local Union. He and his wife owned the East Avenue Tavern for more than 30 years. Preceded in death by wife, Harriett (Motes) and daughter, April.
